Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Soulia collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data. We believe in transparency and giving you real control.

1. Information We Collect

  • •When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and optional profile details.
  • •To generate your natal chart and personalized readings, we collect your birth date, birth time, and birth location.
  • •We collect the content of your conversations with Soulia's AI, including messages, check-ins, and journal entries, to power the AI memory features central to the app.
  • •We automatically collect usage data including device type, operating system, app version, and general interaction logs for performance and crash analysis.
  • •We do not collect financial details directly — all in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google and governed by their privacy policies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • •To provide and improve Soulia's core features: natal charts, daily briefs, AI conversations, compatibility analysis, and personalized astrological insights.
  • •To power the AI memory system, which allows Soulia to remember context from past conversations and provide more relevant, personalized guidance.
  • •To send you push notifications about astrological events, daily briefs, and app updates — only with your explicit permission.
  • •To analyze usage patterns in aggregate (never individually) to improve product features and fix bugs.
  • •We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising targeting.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • •Your data is stored on secure servers (Railway infrastructure for international users, Alibaba Cloud for China region users).
  • •All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Sensitive fields such as passwords are hashed using bcrypt.
  • •AI conversation data and memories are stored in encrypted databases with access controls limited to authorized personnel.
  • •We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6).

4. Third-Party Services

  • •AI responses are generated using Claude (Anthropic) for international users and Doubao (ByteDance) for China-region users. These providers process message content to generate responses but do not store conversations beyond the session.
  • •Push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
  • •Crash and performance analytics are collected via standard mobile analytics SDKs.
  • •App Store and Google Play manage subscription billing — we receive only anonymized subscription status, not payment details.

5. Children's Privacy

  • •Soulia is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
  • •We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights & Data Control

  • •Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • •Correction: You may update your profile information directly in the app, or request corrections via email.
  • •Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion is permanent and irreversible within 30 days.
  • •Export: You may request an export of your data including journal entries, memories, and chart data.
  • •Opt-out: You may disable push notifications at any time in device Settings or within the Soulia app.

7. Changes to This Policy

  • •We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before taking effect.
  • •Continued use of Soulia after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
  • •The current version is always available at soulia.app/privacy.
